MPO/MTP Cable Assemblies
MTP/MPO cable assemblies utilize MPO or MTP multi-fiber connectors, offering a highly efficient and space-saving solution. These fiber patch cords, based on single ferrule MT technology, provide up to 72 fiber connections at a single point, reducing both physical space and labor requirements while delivering the same bandwidth as a traditional multi-fiber cable with individual fiber terminations.
MTP/MPO patch cords feature multi-fiber connections within a single-core fiber optic cable. In addition to standard MTP/MPO cable assemblies such as MTP/MTP harness cables, shuffle cables, hydra cables, and trunk cables. we also offer specialized options like IP68-rated MTP/MPO fiber cables and MTP/MPO loopback adapters for various applications.
MTP/MPO Fiber Cable Assembly Types
Our MTP/MPO cable assemblies comply with IEC61754, IEC61755 and other relevant standards. They use a push-pull locking structure with male and female connectors to ensure tight alignment and low loss. For single-mode (SM) products, standard insertion loss (IL) is ≤ 0.75dB, with return loss (RL) ≥ 60dB; elite versions have IL ≤ 0.35dB. For multimode (MM) products, standard IL is ≤ 0.60dB, with RL ≥ 20dB, while elite versions have IL ≤ 0.35dB. These assemblies are designed for high-bandwidth applications and optimized for time-saving cable management in high-density fiber distribution areas. They support pre-termination with cable diameters from Ø 2.0mm to 5.5mm and are compatible with 10G, 40G, 100G, and 400G networks.
MPO To MPO Fiber Cable Assemblies
MPO cable assemblies, also known as multi-fiber push-on cable assemblies, feature connectors with multiple optical fibers. Often referred to as array connectors, they contain more than two fibers. In typical data center applications, MPO connectors are commonly available with configurations of 8, 12, or 24 fibers. Most MPO fiber optic cable assemblies have 12 fibers neatly arranged in the center of a rectangular ferrule. These connectors are paired similarly to traditional connectors like LC, SC, and ST, but the MPO connector requires a male connector to connect with a female connector.
FAQs of Standard Fiber Optic Cable Patch Cord
MZ, Mach Zehnder, Mach Zehnder modulator. The modulator divides the input light into two equal signals and enters the two optical branches of the modulator respectively. The materials used in the two optical branches are electro-optical materials, and their refractive index varies with the external applied electric signal. Because the change of the refractive index of the optical branch will lead to the change of the signal phase, when the output ends of the two branch signal modulators are combined together again, the synthesized optical signal will be an interference signal with varying intensity, which is equivalent to converting the change of electric signal into the variation of optical signal and realizing the modulation of light intensity.
